The Holiday Village
Our apartments are located in an idyllic holiday village in the Bavarian Forest near Passau. The holiday village has its own indoor pool with sauna and, in summer, a small outdoor pool with a sunbathing lawn. There is also a playground for small children. A table tennis table and barbecue area complete the offerings.
Climatic Health Resort Hauzenberg
The climatic health resort of Hauzenberg, with its numerous shops, offers everything you need for everyday needs. In summer, for example, a visit to the weekly spa concerts is worthwhile. The “Stone Worlds” are another highlight of the granite town and, in the run-up to Christmas, provide a special backdrop for the Granite Christmas market, the town’s Christmas market. The “Raunächte” (Raun Nights) in Hauzenberg or nearby Waldkirchen are a special experience. Lake Freudensee is a short walk from the holiday village, perfect for swimming in summer and ice skating in winter.
Summer and Winter Fun
Hiking and cycling in summer, tobogganing or skiing in winter—there are plenty of options for an active holiday. With the Geiersberg mountain nearby, the Olympic Cross-Country Ski Center in Breitenberg, and Hochficht, Austria’s largest ski resort outside the Alps, winter vacationers will find almost nothing to be desired.
Passau and Surroundings
The three-river city of Passau is only a 20-minute drive away. In addition to its beautiful old town, Passau also offers a wide range of cultural activities and is the starting point for almost all Danube cruises. Passau Cathedral houses the world’s largest church organ, which regularly hosts concerts. The largest Czech reservoir, Lake Lipno, and the World Heritage city of Český Krumlov are also only about an hour away by car. The recreational activities offered in the southern Bavarian Forest are therefore almost unlimited.
